Fourth Benny Shilo course in Developmental Biology

The Fourth Bangalore Benny Shilo Course in Developmental Biology

Date: 22nd December 2008 to 3rd January 2009.

Venue: National Centre for Biological Sciences, TIFR, Bangalore

The course is structured in a modular and flexible manner with each module taught by one of the leading researchers in the field. The focus will be on connecting molecular and cellular pathways to an understanding of the mechanisms that underlie animal development.

The total number of participants in the course will be restricted to about 40. The course will be intense and will require full-time participation. Lectures will be combined with a study of research papers in work-groups followed by discussions with the teachers. At the end of the course, each work -group will be expected to make a presentation of a specific topic.
