The first ‘Maggot Meeting’ was organized by Bertram Gerber at Würzburg   in 2004. The next meeting, in 2006, was organized by Matthew Cobb at   the Universityof Manchester. The most recent one, was in 2008,   organized by Michael Pankratz , Jim Truman and Marta Zlatic at Janelia   Farm . We take great pleasure in hosting the 2010 Maggot Meeting at the National Centre for Biological Sciences, TIFR, Bangalore, India.  These meetings bring together scientists working in on the neural basis of behavior using the Drosophila larva as a model. Talks range from topics covering development, electrophysiology, imaging and modeling.

This year, in addition to the invited speakers we will have poster sessions, geared towards attracting graduate students, post-docs and young faculty.  The schedules will allow time for informal interactions and discussions.

How to Apply:

The online registration form is only for applicants.  Invited speakers need NOT register at this site but will be requested for their abstracts separately.  Selection of participants for poster presentation will be based on the relevance of the abstract to the theme of the meeting.
